Cai Be is a district in Tien Giang province that belongs to Mekong Delta. Located 113km from Ho Chi Minh City, Cai Be offers beautiful rural sightseeing, unique floating markets, various colorful orchards and unforgettable short boat trips.
Cai Be is a charming small town, which is not very far away from Saigon (approximately 2 hours by car). There are lots of colorful fruit and vegetable gardens, traditional crafts, a French church from 1935 and an impressive traditional house which can be visited, especially the floating market. Cai Be Floating Market is one of the many well-known floating markets in the western region of southern Vietnam and also one of the biggest wholesale markets in the region. The floating market lies in the Tien River, adjacent to three provinces of Tien Giang, Vinh Long and Ben Tre. People take not only goods of the countryside to the market but also their unique cultural characteristics, creating a beautiful river painting.
